We are looking for a committed Pharmacist to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure the safe, legal and effective practice of pharmacy.
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Pharmacy with a license to practice in the country. They must also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative. An understanding of pharmacy related laws and regulations is essential.
The Pharmacist will be expected to:
• Recommend drug products by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals; monitoring drug therapy; advising interventions.
• Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
• Monitor patient drug therapies by conducting medication-use reviews; providing recommendations for therapeutic outcomes enhancing patient care.
• Actively participate in the training of pharmacy staff members in order to improve clinical knowledge base.
• Participate in continuing education programs as required by law or regulations in order to stay current on drug information updates or new treatments available.
