Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Qatar)
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at a luxurious hotel in Ar-Ruwais, Qatar. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and managing a team of chefs to deliver high-quality Indian cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Create menus and recipes that showcase authentic Indian flavors and incorporate seasonal and local ingredients
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, from cooking techniques to plating and presentation
- Train and mentor junior chefs, ensuring high standards of food quality and consistency are met
- Manage inventory levels, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or themed dinners featuring Indian cuisine
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and continuously innovate new dishes to keep the menu fresh and exciting
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting specializing in Indian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, cooking techniques, and regional variations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Proven track record in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Preference for candidates already residing in Qatar with their own visa
