Housekeeping Manager - Umm-Said, Qatar
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Housekeeping Manager to join our team at a prestigious hotel in Umm-Said, Qatar. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department and ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of housekeeping staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement efficient cleaning processes and procedures to ensure that all guest rooms are cleaned thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, making sure they are always well-stocked.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms to ensure that they meet our standards of cleanliness and report any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate departments.
- Work closely with other departments such as front office, engineering, and laundry to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain budgetary control over the housekeeping department by monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all housekeeping activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping department within a hotel setting.
- Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, procedures, chemicals, equipment, and materials used in hotel housekeeping operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
