Accountant

We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Al-Rayyan, Qatar. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank reconciliations and tax compliance. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources

Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) in English & Hindi is required; Arabic is a plus
- Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification is preferred but not required
Salary: $1300/month
