Executive Chef - Malayalee Cuisine (Temporary)
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef with a specialty in Malayalee cuisine to join our team in Lusail. This is a temporary position with a salary of 1400$ per month.
As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing traditional Malayalee dishes, as well as managing the kitchen staff and ensuring high quality standards are met. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working as an Executive Chef in a similar setting and must be fluent in English.
This is an urgent role and the selected candidate will need to start immediately. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and execute traditional Malayalee dishes
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling and performance management
- Ensure high quality standards are met at all times
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
- Create menu items and specials based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Monitor food costs and budgeting for the kitchen department
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a similar setting
- Extensive knowledge of Malayalee cuisine including spices, flavors, techniques, etc.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
