Pastry Chef
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing various desserts and pastries for our restaurant in Doha. The ideal candidate should have a passion for baking and pastry making, as well as strong attention to detail and creativity. This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel. The Pastry Chef will work closely with our Head Chef to develop new dessert offerings and ensure that all pastry orders are completed in a timely manner. We are seeking an Indian national who is fluent in English, has excellent communication skills, and can work well under pressure. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare various desserts, pastries, and breads according to established recipes
- Develop new dessert offerings with the Head Chef to meet the changing needs of our menu
- Ensure all pastry orders are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure high quality standards are met for all pastry items
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Experience training junior chefs is preferred
