Contract Accountant (Isa Town, Bahrain)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Accountant to join our team in Isa Town, Bahrain. As a Contract Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transactions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documentation
- Communicate with clients or vendors regarding billing or payment inquiries
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve accounting processes and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or finance role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
