Job Summary

Role and Responsibilities

This position offers a diverse range of duties, including:
-Performing primary eye exams, including taking recording of the patient’s history, testing visual acuity and measures of refraction, and checking for abnormalities
-Fitting and prescribing eyeglasses, contacts and other vision aids
-Monitoring and measuring patients’ vision
-Maintaining records and gathering data
-Referring patients to ophthalmologists and other doctors as necessary
-Advising on vision care
