We are looking for a Cashier to join our team in Khalifah A City. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and payments in an accurate and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, be able to work quickly and accurately with numbers, have some cash handling or customer service experience (preferably in a retail environment) and have an excellent level of English communication.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
- Ensure that the customers have a pleasant shopping experience
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers or automatic debits
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
- Calculate total payments received during shift
- Maintain cleanliness of checkout areas
- Bag items securely
- Help customers with package carry out (if needed)
- Answer customer questions concerning location, price and use of merchandise; answer customer complaints when needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience working as a Cashier preferred but not required
- Ability to handle money accurately with great attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent level of English communication both verbally and written
Salary: 1600 per month
