Cashier in Al Shamkhah City, UAE
Al Shamkhah City is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to process customer payments accurately, support daily accounting activities and provide excellent customer service.
The Cashier role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, good organizational skills and the ability to work well with others. The successful candidate must also have basic math skills and be able to use a computer. Previous experience as a cashier is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
• Receive payments from customers in cash or credit card form
• Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning of shift to ensure that amounts are correct
• Process refunds or exchanges as necessary
• Complete all transactions promptly and accurately in accordance with established procedures
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Assist customers with their inquiries or concerns
• Balance the cash register daily and prepare deposits for bank pickup
• Monitor stock levels, reorder items when needed and assist with inventory count activities
• Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, loyalty programs etc.
• Handle returns or unresolved issues in a professional manner
Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as a Cashier or relevant position
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knowledge of customer service principles and practices
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
• Understanding of customer needs in order to provide excellent service
