Librarian Job in Zayed City
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Zayed City. This position offers a great opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in a dynamic and rewarding environment. The successful applicant will have at least 3 years of experience as a Librarian and will be responsible for the daily operations of the library.
The position offers a salary of 1500 and we are willing to consider foreign candidates. Benefits include flexible working hours, paid vacation days and health insurance.
Job Responsibilities:
β’ Manage daily operations of the library; plan, organize, direct and control activities related to circulation, shelving, cataloguing, reference and information services
β’ Monitor library budgets; purchase books, equipment and supplies as needed
β’ Promote library usage through outreach activities such as book clubs or special events
β’ Develop collections that meet the educational needs of patrons; select materials based on curriculum requirements or popular demand
β’ Provide reference services such as book recommendations or assistance with research projects
β’ Ensure the library complies with copyright laws by properly labeling all materials
β’ Keep up with current trends in the field by attending conferences or taking classes
β’ Assist patrons with computer usage including basic troubleshooting issues
Requirements:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university
β’ At least 3 years of experience as a librarian or related field
β’ Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
β’ Knowledgeable about current trends related to library technology
