Librarian Job in Zayed City
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Zayed City. This position offers a great opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in a dynamic and rewarding environment. The successful applicant will have at least 3 years of experience as a Librarian and will be responsible for the daily operations of the library.
The position offers a salary of 1500 and we are willing to consider foreign candidates. Benefits include flexible working hours, paid vacation days and health insurance.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations of the library; plan, organize, direct and control activities related to circulation, shelving, cataloguing, reference and information services
• Monitor library budgets; purchase books, equipment and supplies as needed
• Promote library usage through outreach activities such as book clubs or special events
• Develop collections that meet the educational needs of patrons; select materials based on curriculum requirements or popular demand
• Provide reference services such as book recommendations or assistance with research projects
• Ensure the library complies with copyright laws by properly labeling all materials
• Keep up with current trends in the field by attending conferences or taking classes
• Assist patrons with computer usage including basic troubleshooting issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university
• At least 3 years of experience as a librarian or related field
• Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Knowledgeable about current trends related to library technology
