Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join the team at Al Shamkhah City. The Executive Chef is responsible for creating and maintaining a high standard of cuisine, as well as overseeing the kitchen staff and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. The Executive Chef must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent culinary skills, with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. They should have an in-depth knowledge of food and nutrition, with experience in menu planning, recipe development, and cost estimation. Candidates must also be able to lead a team and delegate tasks accordingly. A bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred but not required. Additionally, knowledge of health codes and safety regulations is essential for this role.
Duties:
The main responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: creating menus that meet customer needs; overseeing kitchen operations; making sure food is prepared according to company standards; training new staff members; developing recipes; creating cost estimates; ensuring health codes are met; monitoring inventory levels; ensuring proper sanitation techniques are utilized in the kitchen; delegating tasks among staff members; ordering supplies as needed; assisting with catering events when necessary; participating in menu tastings with customers; resolving customer complaints when needed.
