Executive Chef Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef to join the team at El-Ain. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen operation and creating spectacular dishes that will delight customers. The Executive Chef will be in charge of ensuring consistent high-quality standards are maintained throughout the restaurant’s menu.
Responsibilities:
• Develop menus, recipes, and food preparation plans that are cost-effective, meet quality standard and efficiently utilize kitchen staff
• Supervise staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and assigning duties
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes
• Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate stock
• Maintain up-to-date records of food costs, consumption levels and purchasing activities
• Establish performance goals for kitchen staff and monitor their performance
• Liaise with other departments to coordinate activities related to the kitchen such as catering events or special dining occasions
• Create a positive working environment by facilitating cooperation among kitchen staff members
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Culinary Arts degree preferred
• At least 1 year of experience as a chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes
• Skilled in menu planning and recipe development
• Experience with hiring, training, scheduling and supervising staff members
• Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding leadership skills
