Job Summary
We are seeking an Accountant to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, including accounts receivable/payable and bookkeeping. This role requires an individual with excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and strong problem-solving skills. Duties and Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for:
• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
• Preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
• Maintaining up-to-date financial records through the use of various software
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other reports
• Monitoring cash flow and preparing cash flow projections
• Developing procedures for internal control compliance
• Analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies or trends that may require further investigation or action
• Coordinating with auditors during annual audit process
• Providing support to other departments on financial matters as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required; CPA certification is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting; experience in the Middle East region preferred
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) as well as various accounting software programs
• Excellent problem solving skills; able to recognize discrepancies quickly
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
We are ready to consider an immigrant for this position. The salary range for this role is 1100 per month.
