Executive Chef in Dubai, UAE
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations, designing menus and managing the staff. You will also be expected to ensure a high standard of quality and food safety is maintained while preparing and serving all dishes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop recipes, plan menus and ensure all dishes are prepared with the highest quality standards
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks related to the food preparation, cooking and garnishing of dishes
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that all kitchen personnel comply with health and safety regulations
• Ensure adequate stock of ingredients so that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner
• Control food cost by maintaining portion control, monitoring waste, and making necessary adjustments when required
• Review customer feedback regularly to improve overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding health, safety, or other compliance requirements
• Maintain a positive working environment by motivating staff and resolving any conflicts that may arise
Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant
• Working knowledge of specialty cuisines (Italian/Chinese/Mexican etc.)
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environments
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation techniques, and nutrition
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
• Leadership qualities with ability to manage staff effectively
• A valid permit to work in Dubai is preferred but not required
Salary: 1400 AED
