We are looking for an experienced librarian to join our team in Dubai. With a salary of 1700, we are prepared to consider an immigrant for this position. No experience is necessary as on-the-job training will be provided.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for books and knowledge, with the goal of making library resources accessible to the public. They should be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working independently and able to use technology proficiently. They should also have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with patrons.
The primary responsibility of the librarian is to manage the day-to-day operations of the library, which includes organizing books and other materials, cataloging resources and assisting patrons in finding what they need. Other duties include supervising library staff, updating library records and monitoring activities within the facility. The librarian is also responsible for developing programming such as book clubs and classes that promote literacy in the community.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field as well as knowledge of cataloguing systems, research practices and various computer software applications used in libraries. They should have excellent communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels including children and seniors who may need assistance using library resources. They should also possess basic administrative skills such as budgeting, scheduling meetings and ordering supplies when necessary. Finally, they should demonstrate strong problem solving abilities along with excellent customer service skills in order to provide patrons with superior service while using the library’s resources.
