Merchandiser in Doha, Qatar
We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our team in Doha. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in merchandising, preferably within the retail industry.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You must be able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing sales figures, customer preferences, and market trends to provide recommendations on product assortment, stocking levels, pricing, and promotions
- Optimizing inventory levels by managing stock replenishment and forecasting demand for ordering purposes
- Developing visual merchandising strategies for store displays and promotional events
- Ensuring that products are appropriately priced and displayed in order to maximize sales volume
- Liaising with suppliers regarding delivery timescales, product availability, back orders and quality control issues
- Negotiating with vendors to obtain the best prices for merchandise
- Implementing promotional campaigns in stores according to marketing plans provided by head office
- Keeping abreast of industry trends in order to inform management of changes that may affect the business
- Training store staff on merchandise presentation techniques
The successful candidate must have at least three years of experience as a Merchandiser or similar role with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. Foreign candidates are welcome. A salary of 1500 per month is offered for this position.
