Accountant in Khawr Fakkan, UAE
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Khawr Fakkan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our financial accounts and records, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance.
The role requires excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. The Accountant must have a comprehensive understanding of relevant accounting principles and practices, as well as experience employing computerized accounting systems. This position requires the ability to work with accuracy under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
The main duties include:
* Maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with accepted policies and procedures
* Performing daily accounting operations such as accounts receivable/payable, cash management, and payroll processing
* Monitoring all transactions for accuracy
* Preparing month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, etc.
* Assisting with annual audits by providing necessary information and reports
* Developing internal control policies to ensure data accuracy & integrity
* Ensuring compliance with applicable government laws & regulations
* Establishing effective communication with clients, vendors & other stakeholders
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus at least two years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of relevant software is essential; experience using QuickBooks is preferred. A CPA license is a definite plus but not required. A foreigner is welcome to apply for this position as long as they can demonstrate their qualifications are equivalent or superior to those required by local candidates. The salary for this position is 1800 AED per month.
