Cashier Job - Abu Dhabi
Job Summary:
We are looking for a friendly and experienced Cashier to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will have a strong customer service background and be comfortable with computerized cash registers. They should be able to handle large sums of money accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in the retail industry and be capable of handling a busy working environment.
Requirements for the Candidate:
• Proven experience as a cashier in a retail or hospitality setting
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Ability to work independently or in teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to handle money, make change, count cash drawers, and process credit/debit cards accurately
• Basic math skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work weekends and evenings as required
Duties:
• Greet customers when they arrive at the store and answer their questions
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
• Answer customers' complaints or questions and provide appropriate solutions or alternatives
• Maintain cleanliness of counter area
