Librarian Vacancy - Zayed City
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Zayed City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in library sciences and experience working with library patrons of all ages. The salary offered is 1000 AED per month.
Job Description:
The main responsibility of the librarian is to ensure the smooth running of the library and to provide exceptional customer service to patrons. The librarian will process books, digital media, periodicals, and other materials; help patrons find resources; answer questions about library services; help with research projects; shelve materials; catalog new items into the system; organize special events such as book clubs or story time; maintain current awareness of new materials and services offered by the library; and provide technology assistance when necessary.
Requirements for Candidate:
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Sciences or equivalent experience. They must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to multitask effectively in a busy environment. In addition, they should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as good problem-solving abilities. Experience working with immigrants is preferred but not essential for this role.
