Executive Chef - Zayed City
We are looking for an Executive Chef to join our team in Zayed City. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen staff, creating and developing new dishes, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served at all times.
The ideal candidate should have a diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as culinary arts, catering or hospitality. They should also possess excellent leadership skills, good communication abilities, and a passion for cooking. Prior experience as an Executive Chef or similar is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Create a menu that meets customer expectations and adheres to budget constraints
- Train, motivate, and mentor kitchen staff on safe food handling, knife skills, recipe adherence, etc.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; order additional supplies when needed
- Ensure compliance with health codes and sanitation regulations in the kitchen area
- Monitor food costs to ensure profitability
- Develop new recipes that are innovative but still cost effective
- Oversee preparation of all dishes served in the restaurant according to established recipes
- Participate in tasting sessions to evaluate new dishes created by the kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts/catering/hospitality management
- At least 5 years of prior experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills; ability to direct/manage staff effectively
- Passion for cooking; knowledge of global cuisine is a bonus
