Executive Chef Job Summary
We are looking for an Executive Chef to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our culinary team in the preparation of high-quality dishes, while also managing the kitchen operations and staff. This position offers a salary of 900 and we are open to considering an immigrant for the role.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen staff and ensure that all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations
• Create new menus on a regular basis as well as offering suggestions for improvements
• Ensure that all ingredients are stored correctly and that all dishes are freshly prepared
• Develop a budget for food supplies, kitchen equipment, and labour costs
• Train, manage, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure that high-quality standards are maintained
• Monitor portion sizes, cooking times, temperatures and presentations of dishes
• Develop strategies to reduce waste and control costs while maximizing profits
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Experience with advanced cooking techniques such as sous-vide or confit
• Ability to stay current with trends in cuisine styles and recipes
• Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Ability to lead by example and foster a cohesive team environment through positive motivation techniques
• Good understanding of hygiene regulations including HACCP/EHO guidelines
