Executive Chef
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef for our restaurant in Doha, Qatar. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, dynamic and international team in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and developing innovative dishes that are consistent with the restaurant’s standards of quality. They will also ensure effective management of all culinary staff, including hiring, training and disciplinary actions when necessary. The Executive Chef should have excellent leadership skills to motivate the staff and maintain a high level of morale in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
• Develop menus that reflect customer preferences as well as current trends in gastronomy
• Create cost-effective menus while ensuring excellent quality
• Establish portion sizes and pricing for all dishes on the menu
• Stay abreast of new cooking techniques, ingredients and equipment
• Ensure compliance to food safety standards by monitoring storage and preparation practices
• Supervise the work of all culinary staff, including hiring, training and disciplinary action when necessary
• Manage inventory levels to minimize waste
• Monitor food costs in order to maximize profits
Requirements:
• At least 1 year experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a busy restaurant environment
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate culinary staff
• Knowledgeable about food safety standards and modern cooking techniques
• Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work long hours standing up and under pressure • Willingness to consider immigrants for this position
Salary: 1200 per month
