Executive Chef – Ras-al-Khaimah
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Ras-al-Khaimah. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen operations, ensuring that quality food is produced efficiently and profitably. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for creating and implementing menus that meet customer expectations while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Job Description: The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including menu planning, ordering and inventory, staff management, food preparation, sanitation, safety, budgeting and cost control. They will ensure that all recipes are followed accurately, food is cooked according to health safety standards and served in a timely manner. The Executive Chef must be able to lead a team of kitchen staff in an efficient manner while maintaining peak performance in all areas of the kitchen.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop menus that meet customer expectations while staying within budget
• Supervise kitchen staff in day-to-day operations
• Ensure accurate records of inventory levels
• Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process
• Ensure compliance with health code regulations
• Train new staff in kitchen procedures
• Manage budgets related to kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean work environment at all times
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g. front of house) to ensure smooth service
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Familiarity with sanitation regulations
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
• Outstanding time management skills
• Experience with ordering supplies from vendors • Ability to delegate tasks effectively • 1+ years’ experience in a professional kitchen setting is required • Experience working with international cuisine is preferred but not required • Must have valid Food Handler's Certification • Must be willing to work evenings/weekends as needed
