We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. This position offers a salary of 1100 and we are open to considering an immigrant for the role.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about books, have extensive knowledge of literature, and be able to provide high-quality library services. They should also be able to think creatively and come up with innovative ideas that will promote the library’s services to the wider community.
As Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library’s day-to-day operations such as cataloging materials, ordering new books, managing subscriptions, and providing access to resources. You will also need to maintain accurate records of all books in the library’s collection. Furthermore, you will be expected to interact with patrons on a regular basis by providing research assistance as well as offering guidance on how best to utilize our resources.
To qualify for this role you should possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Library Science or related field. Previous experience in a librarian position is preferred but not essential. You should also have excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus. An understanding of digital tools such as online databases would be advantageous along with effective organizational and time management skills.
