We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our kitchen staff in Doha. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye for plating and presentation, as well as a passion for developing innovative recipes that draw on the flavors of the region. The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, ensuring that all dishes meet exact standards of quality and taste, and acting as a mentor to other kitchen staff members.
The successful applicant should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the Middle East region. A culinary degree or equivalent accreditation is also desirable.
The Executive Chef will be expected to:
- Develop menus based on ingredients available locally, drawing on regional flavors
- Monitor food items to ensure quality and consistency
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to safety standards
- Establish portion sizes and pricing according to budget guidelines
- Train and develop kitchen staff in their respective roles
- Create innovative dishes while staying within established parameters of quality and cost effectiveness
- Maintain inventory records of supplies purchased or used by the kitchen staff
- Actively participate in menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure all equipment is maintained according to safety protocols
- Develop healthy menus that take into account dietary restrictions
- Lead by example when it comes to providing excellent customer service.
