Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Haur-Fakkan. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu design and development, staff training and supervision, food preparation, ordering of supplies and ensuring that the highest standards of safety and hygiene are maintained. The successful candidate will be a passionate leader capable of motivating their team to provide exceptional customer service and produce quality food.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen staff;
• Creating menus that appeal to customers while also meeting nutritional needs;
• Establishing a budget for the kitchen and monitoring expenses;
• Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed;
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen;
• Developing staff training programs to ensure consistency in quality preparation and presentation;
• Ensuring correct food portioning, ordering supplies as needed, monitoring waste;
• Keeping up with industry trends and experimenting with creative dishes.
Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a professional setting; • Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and equipment; • Ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional standards; • Outstanding leadership skills with a strong ability to motivate others; • Good organizational skills with an eye for detail; • Knowledge of health & safety regulations in the kitchen environment; • Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts is preferred but not essential.
