Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Ras-al-Khaimah. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading and managing the culinary operations of the restaurant, as well as developing new recipes to ensure a constantly evolving and innovative menu. You will also be responsible for ensuring that food preparation and presentation meet strict quality standards. You must have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate your team to meet service goals and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Plan menus according to budget, customer preferences, and nutritional needs while considering seasonal availability of ingredients
• Manage kitchen staff in all aspects of food preparation and presentation
• Monitor food inventory levels to minimize waste
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and up to health code standards
• Develop new recipes on a regular basis to keep the menu fresh and exciting
• Monitor staff performance and provide training when needed
• Supervise staff during peak hours to ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage budgeting for food items, labor costs, kitchen supplies, etc.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Proven experience as an executive chef or similar culinary role in a high-end restaurant setting
• Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends • Experience overseeing international cuisine is preferred
