We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory of merchandise, ordering new products to keep up with customer demand, and ensuring that all items are properly showcased. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer trends and sales data to determine which products to order and how much of each product; performing market research to understand product trends; understanding customer desires and needs; selecting merchandise for store shelves; and monitoring stock levels. The Merchandiser will also be responsible for coordinating product shipments from suppliers, negotiating with vendors for better pricing, maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors, tracking orders, and completing administrative tasks such as preparing reports on sales data.
The successful candidate should have at least two years of merchandising experience in a retail setting along with excellent communication skills; the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; excellent problem-solving skills; strong analytical skills; the ability to multitask effectively; proficient computer skills; an eye for detail; and knowledge of current market trends. We prefer candidates who have experience working with international suppliers. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not necessary. This position is open to both local UAE citizens as well as foreigners who meet the above criteria.
