Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility will be cooking meals according to our menu requirements while adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations. Including preparing ingredients prior to service such as washing vegetables, cutting meat or fish, etc., cooking dishes according to recipes provided by the head chef or manager while ensuring they are cooked correctly within set timescales; presenting dishes attractively; ensuring that all dishes leave the kitchen promptly; monitoring food stock levels; ordering supplies where necessary; cleaning equipment used throughout the day; cleaning down stations at end of shift; disposing of waste appropriately; maintaining high levels of hygiene at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate should have prior experience working in an F&B environment or similar role with basic knowledge of cooking techniques. They should possess strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail being able to think quickly on their feet under pressure while remaining calm during busy periods. A good level of spoken English is essential along with basic numeracy skills for converting recipes into larger quantities when needed. Knowledge of food safety regulations is also required along with any relevant qualifications such as food hygiene certification or culinary qualifications. An understanding of Arabic cuisine would be beneficial but not essential for this role
