Librarian Job Opening in Sharjah
We are looking for an experienced librarian to join our team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library, organizing its contents, and helping patrons find the information they need. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1500 AED per month. We are willing to consider immigrants for this role.
The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, strong customer service skills, and a passion for working with books and other media. The librarian should be knowledgeable about library management systems and software as well as cataloguing techniques. Previous experience in a library setting is preferred but not necessary.
The primary duties of the librarian include:
• Maintaining the library’s collection of books, periodicals, electronic resources, and other materials
• Helping patrons find information they need
• Checking out materials to patrons
• Assisting with cataloguing and organizing new materials
• Updating library records using computerized systems
• Assisting in developing programs to promote the use of the library
• Answering questions related to library services and resources
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English language. They must also possess excellent customer service skills as they will be interacting with patrons on a regular basis. Candidates must also possess good problem solving skills in order to effectively solve patron inquiries or issues related to library services or resources. Candidates must also be willing to work flexible hours when needed.
