Job Description:
We are looking for a Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our library, providing assistance to library patrons, and assisting with the selection and acquisition of library materials. Duties include cataloging and classifying books, serials, and other documents; maintaining order in the library; providing reference services; preparing reports; supervising library personnel; and assisting with special projects.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience as a librarian
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Knowledge of cataloguing systems such as MARC 21 or AACR2
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Foreign language proficiency is an advantage
