Job Description:
• Responsible for selecting, ordering, and displaying merchandise in retail stores.
• Work closely with vendors to negotiate prices, delivery dates and order quantities.
• Track orders from vendors to ensure they arrive on time and in good condition.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder as necessary.
• Develop promotional activities to increase sales of merchandise.
• Ensure that all merchandise is properly priced and labeled.
• Analyze sales trends to determine which products are most popular with customers.
Skills Required:
• Proven experience as a merchandiser or similar role within the retail industry
• Understanding of consumer behavior and buying trends
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think creatively when planning promotions
• Organizational skills
