Librarian – Sharjah, 1000 AED

We are searching for a Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our library collections and services. We are ready to consider a foreigner with no experience for this position.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related field
• Proficiency in English language
• Working knowledge of computer systems and databases
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good customer service skills

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage library resources, such as books, periodicals, newspapers, audio-visual materials, electronic resources, etc.
• Oversee the acquisition of new library materials
• Maintain library records system and perform cataloguing work as required
• Assist patrons with research queries and help them locate material on library shelves
• Promote the use of the library by organizing special events, such as book clubs or author talks
• Supervise staff members working in the library

Job Description:
The Librarian will be responsible for managing our library collections and services in Sharjah. This includes overseeing the acquisition of new materials, maintaining records system, assisting patrons with research queries, organizing special events, supervising staff members working in the library and other related tasks. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related field with proficiency in English language. Working knowledge of computer systems and databases is also required.
