Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified Librarian to join the library team in Abu-Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library collections in order to ensure that books, magazines and other media can be easily accessed by our patrons. Responsibilities:
• Maintain the library’s collection by cataloging, stocking and shelving materials as needed.
• Organize book displays to promote new or interesting books.
• Assist patrons in locating materials and answer any questions they may have about library resources or services.
• Ensure that all library materials are properly checked out and returned on time.
• Participate in special projects such as developing new collections or engaging in public outreach activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Library Manager or Library Director.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required; no experience necessary for entry level positions.
• Knowledge of library organization systems and classification schemes (i.e., Dewey Decimal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; customer service orientation; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; familiarity with computers and software programs (MS Office Suite) is a plus but not required.

Salary: 1400 AED per month
