Merchandiser - Sharjah
Salary: 1400 AED/month
Requirements for the Candidate:
• Bachelor's degree in merchandising, marketing or related field.
• Proven experience as a merchandiser.
• Knowledge of retail principles, practices, and trends.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not required.
• Willingness to travel within the region when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Developing strategies to increase sales and profitability of products.
• Negotiating with suppliers for prices, discounts, promotions, etc.
• Analyzing customer data to identify buying trends and preferences.
• Creating promotional campaigns for products in order to boost sales in particular markets or stores.
• Managing inventory levels including stocktaking processes when necessary.
• Evaluating the performance of products in order to make decisions about restocking, discontinuing or replacing items as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Marketing or related field is preferred but not required; other qualifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on experience level and skill set demonstrated by the candidate during the interview process. • Minimum of three years of experience working as a Merchandiser is preferred; other relevant work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on skill set demonstrated by the candidate during the interview process • Strong understanding of customer segmentation strategies • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
