Librarian job in Dubai UAE for foreigners


Librarian (1000 AED/month, Dubai)

We are looking for a qualified and experienced librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate should have a passion for books and knowledge and be able to provide excellent customer service. We are also open to considering immigrants for the position.

Job Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field
• At least 3 years of professional experience in library services
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills
• Strong knowledge of library classification systems and cataloguing
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of current computer programs, applications, and technology utilized in libraries
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people with respect and sensitivity

Responsibilities:
• Organize books, periodicals, videos, etc. according to established library procedures
• Provide reference services to library patrons by answering questions about the library's collections or services
• Assist patrons in locating materials or using library equipment such as computers or copiers
• Check returned materials for damage or overdue fees before shelving them back onto the shelves
• Assist patrons in finding materials using the online catalogues or other search systems available at the library
• Purchase new materials for the library's collection as needed
