Librarian job vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for foreigners


We are looking for a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services to our clients and helping them access information resources.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities. He or she must also be knowledgeable about library operations, including cataloging, circulation, collection development, and reference services. Knowledge of contemporary technologies employed in libraries is also desired.

Responsibilities:

• Manage library information resources and provide access to them through catalogs, databases, and other search tools

• Assist patrons in locating materials and providing reference assistance as needed
• Develop library collections by selecting materials according to their relevance to the library’s mission
• Organize library materials according to established standards
• Train users on basic use of the library’s resources
• Participate in library committees and attend professional development activities
• Oversee circulation desk operations


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Prior experience working in a library setting
• Knowledge of current trends in librarianship
• Facility with computer systems used for library operations

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of 1400 AED for this position. We are willing to consider foreign nationals for this role.
