Librarian job vacancy in Zayed City UAE for foreigners
Librarian (900 AED/month) - Zayed City
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Zayed City. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library, helping customers with their queries and providing general customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, electronic resources, and other library materials.
• Assist customers with borrowing books and other media from the library.
• Maintain records of books borrowed and returned.
• Update the library database and organize the book shelves regularly.
• Answer customer inquiries related to library services, materials, policies etc.
• Create educational programs such as reading clubs or story time events for children.
• Prepare reports on library usage and activities for management review.
• Assist in developing collections that meet customers' needs by selecting new materials or weeding out outdated items.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or any related field is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a librarian or working in a related environment is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is mandatory; knowledge of another language is an advantage.
• Good computer skills (MS Office) is a must; knowledge of integrated library systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; excellent customer service skills are highly desirable
In addition, we are willing to consider foreigners for this role and the salary offered is 900 AED per month plus benefits as per UAE labor law regulations.
