Khalifah A City is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The Executive Chef will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant kitchen and will be in charge of developing and executing menu items to meet customer demands.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least three years of experience as a Executive Chef in a professional kitchen setting. The successful candidate should have excellent leadership skills and be able to manage and motivate a team of cooks. They should have strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, as well as a creative approach to menu planning.
The duties of the Executive Chef include developing menus, designing recipes, creating new dishes, managing inventory, monitoring staff performance, controlling costs, monitoring food quality and taste testing dishes regularly. They should also ensure that all health codes are followed as well as provide guidance and training for kitchen employees where necessary.
The requirements for this position include excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, good problem solving skills, excellent communication abilities in English (oral and written), proficiency with computers or other software programs utilized in the kitchen such as inventory management programs. Additionally, knowledge of different cooking techniques is essential.
