The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Manager is to oversee the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all areas are kept clean and orderly at all times. They will inspect rooms regularly and ensure that they meet standards of cleanliness before allowing guests to check in. Additionally, they will manage supplies such as linens, cleaning products, and other materials needed for housekeeping duties. The Housekeeping Manager will also be responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating new team members; managing schedules; addressing customer complaints; enforcing safety regulations; and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
