Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Librarian to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing, cataloging, and maintaining library materials. You will also provide assistance to patrons in locating and utilizing library materials.

Job Duties:
-Organize library resources by cataloging books, periodicals, films, audio recordings, electronic resources, etc.
-Assist library patrons with identifying and locating library materials
-Embark on extensive research to acquire new books and other materials for the library
-Keep track of circulation activity and monitor overdue resources
-Maintain the library’s computerized database of resources
-Ensure the security of all library materials
-Provide training on how to use the online cataloging system
-Perform general maintenance duties such as shelving books and performing minor repairs on damaged items

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field is preferred
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
-Strong knowledge of cataloging systems such as MARC21 standards
-Proficiency in using computers and related software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
-Outstanding customer service skills; must be friendly and approachable
-Excellent communication skills; both written & verbal

Salary: 1500 AED per month
