Librarian – Dubai

We are looking to hire a motivated and experienced Librarian for a full-time position in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining library collections, helping patrons find information, conducting research, and providing reference services.

Position Responsibilities:
• Maintaining library collections by organizing materials, cataloging items, and verifying accuracy of library databases;
• Helping patrons find information by answering questions, providing reference services, and referring patrons to other resources as needed;
• Conducting research on various topics;
• Assisting in collection development activities;
• Organizing library events such as book clubs and author signings;
• Developing and managing book displays;
• Supervising staff and customer service volunteers;
• Participating in professional organizations related to the field.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field required;
• A minimum of one year of work experience with libraries preferred but not required for consideration; foreign applicants are welcome to apply;
• Knowledge of computer systems and databases, including Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of online search tools preferred but not required;
• Ability to remain organized while working with multiple tasks simultaneously; excellent customer service skills.

Salary: 1100 AED per month
