Librarian - Abu-Dhabi
Salary: 1500 AED

Job Summary:
We are recruiting a Librarian to join our team based in Abu-Dhabi. The Librarian will be responsible for providing library services to our members. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of library systems and procedures, as well as a passion for books and reading. Foreigners are welcome to apply for this position.

Requirements for the Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Library Science or related field
• A minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Good communication skills and a customer service focus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues
• Proficiency in English and/or Arabic language skills (both written and oral) is desirable

Job Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library, including circulation duties, cataloguing, shelving, inventory maintenance and customer service
• Selecting, ordering, processing and maintaining library materials such as books, periodicals, videos, pictures etc.
• Assisting customers with their inquiries about library services or materials available in the library
• Maintaining accurate records of library materials in use • Creating educational displays to promote reading activities

Job Qualifications:
• Knowledgeable about computer systems used in libraries including automated circulation systems • Ability to work with databases including acquisition databases, catalogue databases etc. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
