Librarian job in Dubai UAE for foreigners


We are looking for a passionate and experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the running of our library, which includes organizing materials, researching and acquiring new materials, providing instruction on how to use the library’s resources and helping patrons find information. The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years’ experience in a related field.

The role of the Librarian includes but is not limited to: catalogue and organize library materials; maintain records of circulation; answer inquiries from patrons; conduct research on topics related to library materials; assist patrons with finding resources; provide instruction on using the library's resources; update databases as necessary; oversee the ordering, sorting, shelving and inventory of library materials; manage inter-library loans; create exhibitions and displays of materials.

To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate: excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; proficiency with computers including knowledge of standard software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); an understanding of research techniques relevant to the library’s collection; excellent customer service skills when dealing with patrons. In addition, we are willing to consider an immigrant for this position. The successful candidate will receive a salary of 900 per month.
