Librarian job vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for unskilled worker


We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate should be highly organized, self-motivated and have a passion for working with books and information. The Librarian will be responsible for managing library collections, providing reference services, offering research assistance to patrons, maintaining accurate cataloging records and organizing library archives.

The ideal candidate has an advanced degree in Library Science or equivalent experience. Previous experience as a librarian in a public or academic library setting is preferred. They should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technology. Additionally, the librarian should be able to work cooperatively with staff, students and faculty of all backgrounds. They should also have strong problem solving skills and be able to find creative solutions to complex problems.

The Librarian will oversee day-to-day library operations, including supervising staff and volunteers, enforcing library policies and procedures, organizing events such as book clubs or readings, ordering new materials, setting up displays of new materials and serving on committees related to the library’s mission. This position offers a competitive salary of AED 1600 per month plus benefits. We are open to considering applications from immigrants who meet the necessary requirements.
