Librarian – Abu Dhabi

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing library services, including cataloging and maintenance, to the public. The salary is 1000 per month.

The ideal candidate should have a degree in library sciences or a related field, excellent knowledge of library systems and procedures, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills. Prior work experience is not a requirement but is preferred. We are open to considering immigrant applicants for this role.

Duties include:
• Cataloging books and other materials
• Assisting patrons with research needs
• Managing circulation of materials
• Providing reference services
• Creating and maintaining bibliographic records
• Maintaining the physical condition of the library's collections
• Updating databases with new information and materials
• Developing library policies and procedures
• Developing outreach programs to promote the use of library resources
• Interacting with local schools, businesses, and other organizations to build relationships and promote library services
