Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing our library, as well as providing reference services to patrons.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Cataloguing and classifying library materials, such as books, documents, photos, videos, etc.
• Maintaining an up-to-date database of library materials.
• Assisting patrons with locating and borrowing library materials.
• Preparing and delivering presentations about the library's services and resources.
• Developing systems for organizing information in the library.
• Providing reference services to patrons looking for information on specific topics.
• Training library staff on proper cataloguing and classification procedures.
• Maintaining a secure environment within the library premises and ensuring its cleanliness at all times.
• Responding to patron inquiries via telephone or email in a timely manner.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred
• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar role is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of cataloguing principles according to international standards (e.g., AACR2, MARC21)
• Proficient with various computer applications (MS Office Suite) and online databases (e.g., OCLC WorldCat)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written

Salary: 1300 AED per month
