Job Description:
Librarian - Dubai, 1000 AED/Month

We are looking for a professional librarian to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and managing the library's collections and resources. This includes overseeing the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of materials. The Librarian will also be responsible for ensuring that library services meet the needs of patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the acquisition, cataloging and circulation of library materials
• Maintain accurate records of library holdings
• Develop policies and procedures related to library services
• Provide reference services to patrons
• Train library staff on the use of catalogs, databases and other information sources
• Supervise staff in daily operations including shelving books, checking out materials, helping patrons with computer use and other tasks as needed
• Create displays to promote materials or special collections
• Assist with organizing events such as book clubs or story times
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Knowledge of library software systems such as Evergreen or Koha is preferred but not required
• Excellent customer service skills with an ability to interact positively with patrons of all ages
