Librarian – Bani Yas City
Salary: 1000 AED per month

Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified Librarian to join our team in Bani Yas City. This position will be responsible for maintaining the library’s collections and providing excellent customer service to patrons of all ages. The successful candidate should have strong organizational skills, a passion for books and reading, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the library’s collections by cataloguing and organizing materials such as books, magazines, videos, audio recordings, e-books, etc.
• Assist patrons in locating materials in the library's collection
• Assist patrons with basic computer-related tasks such as setting up email accounts or finding information on the internet
• Provide reference services by answering questions or helping patrons locate information
• Maintain circulation records and ensure that library materials are checked out properly
• Help organize events such as book clubs or story times for young readers
• Perform administrative duties such as creating reports or responding to emails
• Stay up-to-date on relevant trends in libraries or literacy education

Qualification/Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Library Science preferred but not necessary • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a library setting preferred but not necessary • Knowledge of library systems and databases • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively • Strong organizational skills
